VA BENEFITS
We recommend connecting with our partners at the Wounded Warrior Project. WWP’s Veterans Service Officers (VSOs) provide the most consistent and systematic service. WWP has received continuous positive reviews from our Ranger alumni. Their experts will help navigate the bureaucratic confusing systems often associated with governmental agencies, enabling veteran Rangers to gain easier access to their earned benefits. Location does not matter, just click here to get started. On the top bar, go to the right and click, Join.

PACT Act expanded: All veterans who served in the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, Iraq, Afghanistan, the Global War on Terror, or any other combat zone after 9/11 are eligible to enroll in VA health care without first applying for VA benefits. Additionally, veterans who never deployed but were exposed to toxins or hazards while training or on active duty in the United States are eligible to enroll.
This DOD Requirement for Managing Brain Health Risks from Blast Overpressure memo could be useful under certain circumstances. For veterans: If the VA denied a TBI claim, but the Ranger could prove they were a breacher/Gustav gunner, etc, then this memo showing the ‘BOP’ could add to their case. They would need a diagnosis first. For Active Duty who are separating, as long as they have that diagnosis, the memo would not even be required. They would need a diagnosis first.
It's crucial to ensure that your medical records, including a cancer diagnosis, are entered into the VA system. This is the only way your data will be included in a comprehensive CANCER IN SOF study. You do not have to move your medical care to the VA; you just need to register with the VA and get your cancer-related medical records in the system.
Registering in the VA system is easy and fast, especially with the assistance of a VSO. We highly recommend working with WWP to facilitate this process. They have the expertise to guide you through enrollment and ensure your records are accurately documented within the VA system.
Important Legislation & VA Updates That Impact Veterans: These topics include the Major Richard Star Act, Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veteran Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act, FAA Reauthorization Bill Signed Into Law - Improving Air Travel Access for Veterans with Disabilities, Veterans Group Life Insurance, Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance Traumatic Injury Protection, Burial Benefits, and Virginia Military Survivors and Dependents Education Program.
State Benefits: Whether you just joined the retired ranks or are a long-standing member of those still serving, states and territories offer a variety of benefits to you and your family. Benefits like property tax exemptions, employment preference, and recreational discounts are offered not only to active-duty military but also to retired military, veterans, disabled veterans, and family members.
