Services for PFC Robert L. Bryant, Company B, 4th Ranger Bn, WWII will be interned 12 April 2025, at 12:30 at the Veteran’s section of Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington, Illinois.
PFC Robert L. Bryant, who died as one of Darby’s Rangers — the original World War II unit that modern Army Rangers trace their origins to — will finally be laid to rest in April. PFC Robert L. Bryant was part of a four-man team that went missing in 1943 while searching for wounded comrades from 4th Ranger Battalion during heavy fighting in Italy.
Bryant’s remains were identified in the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery in Nettuna, a coastal Italian city outside Anzio.
We hope to conduct a Once an Eagle Ceremony, so please let Mike Hall, m.hall@threerangersfoundation.org, know if you can attend. Bring your beret. I'm not sure if there is a reception planned, but if not, we’ll find a place to get together.
RLTW!
