What We Look For in A Mentor
Mentorship is one of the most impactful ways we can assist our veterans in need. A successful mentor will be a veteran of the armed forces as well as have other meaningful life experiences outside the military, with a willingness to help build connections, share experiences, and assist the veteran/mentee(client) to set realistic expectations. An ideal mentor candidate will be able to dedicate up to two hours per week per client to provide the guidance similar to that received while in the service from 1st and 2nd line supervisors. All mentors will be subject to a general background check and be required to complete the MENTAL FIRST AID COURSE.
Mentors from a variety of industries are welcome. Few transitioning veterans have a set career path upon leaving the military but do have a desire to find job satisfaction and worthwhile work, similar to the life they had in Regiment.
If you feel you can make a difference by serving as a mentor, please complete the application form. You don’t need to have all of the answers ~ you need to be prepared to listen and have a genuine desire to make a difference.
